Skiing in Canada offers all the best that the USA has to offer and more: Modern high speed lift systems, convenient and tasteful purpose built resort villages, the best hospitality and service on and off the piste, great grooming & snowparks, spacious and modern accommodation, and of course, snow. Lots and lots of it. Add to this the breathtaking scenery and it is easy to see why more and more return to ski in Canada every year.

More and more UK skiers are discovering the joys of skiing in Canada, and many find that once they've tried it, they're hooked for good. Canada ski holidays have the best on offer when it comes to pistes, with well groomed slopes of all grades available to suit all levels of ski ability. Beginners and intermediates will enjoy the wide cruising runs, whilst more advanced skiers can revel in the powder bowls and fast and fun tree skiing offered by resorts like Whistler. Freestyle fans can find snowparks developed to a level that far exceeds what is typically on offer in Europe.

Ski Resorts in Canada
Ski resorts in Canada range from the biggest and best in the world right down to smaller ski hills with just a few lifts. Sticking to the bigger resorts will guarantee you find the full variety of terrain to keep you occupied on the slopes, and the full range of après ski activities to keep you entertained whilst off the slopes.

Whistler

Widely regarded as the best ski resort North America, Whistler delivers on all fronts, with a massive ski area, varied ski terrain, incredible snowparks, a good snow record and attractive and convenient purpose built resort villages. Constantly developing, with a new lift added last season and ambitious plans recently unveiled to construct a peak to peak gondola to link the 2 huge ski areas, Whistler continues to bolster its standing as one of the top ski resorts in the world.

Banff

Banff is well renowned for its reliably superb snow conditions and wide range of terrain to suit every level of skier. The resort is set in a national park and boasts incredible almost Alpine scenery including glaciers and jagged peaks, which sets it apart from most North American ski resorts. Three varied ski areas can be accessed a short drive from Banff meaning there is plenty to keep even the keenest skier occupied.

Tremblant

Tremblant is the largest and most popular resort in Eastern Canada. It is a popular destination for its shorter journey time: the flight into Montreal takes only six hours. The French culture and language of Quebec add to the charm of Tremblant, which combines the welcoming atmosphere of a traditional mountain village with the ski-in/out convenience of a purpose-built resort.

Après Ski in Canada
You will find a wide range of restaurants and bars in Canadian ski resorts from relaxed sports bars to themed Irish pubs, to upmarket cosmopolitan bars serving cocktails and fine wines. It is easy to find live music at après ski, although it is rarely as lively as the French or Austrian equivalent. Later on in the evening the resorts really come to life, with live music and good clubs in which to dance the night away. Most Canadian ski resorts also offer an eclectic mix of action based après activities including snowmobiling, bungee jumping and similar adrenaline fuelled pursuits.
