Japan

Japan

Skiing in Japan offers one of the most incredible experiences in the world because it is renowned for its waist deep, dry and light powder snow. With the slopes much quieter than you would find in Europe, it means that you can enjoy fresh untracked powder on wide intermediate runs throughout the entire day. Then, if your legs can still take it, you can continue on until 9pm each night on the strongly floodlit slopes to find out what night skiing really is about.

With high quality ski in/out accommodation, excellent food and an interesting and lively nightlife to add to one of the best skiing experiences in the world; Japan is a superb alternative to your ‘normal’ ski destination.

Japan Off Piste

Why not take a different turn when in Japan and ski off piste? We offer a choice of 2 day, 5 day or 7 day itineraries in both Niseko and Furano.

Niseko

Niseko   Reliable, dry and light powder snow can be found in Niseko which is debatably Japans most well known resort. It is a superb intermediate resort that is westernised enough to not make you feel out of place and yet still naturally Japanese to give you the full experience.

Furano

Furano   Further off the beaten track, but still on the North Island of Hokkaido is Furano. Furano has the lightest and driest powder in Japan and is another excellent resort for beginners and intermediate skiers, although there are several unpisted runs for the more advanced skier. Despite the resort being much smaller than many of the neighbouring resorts on the Hokkaido, Furano has a lively après scene that would rival many European resorts.

Hakuba

Hakuba   Located on the southern Island Honshu is Hakuba, which is known as the ‘Japanese Alps’ due to the multitude of ski areas neighbouring each other. Because of the variation and choice of ski areas it means that there really is something for everyone. Hakuba will let you ski somewhere different each day and enjoy a different type of terrain and challenge while always encountering incredible snow.
