Lech: The Resort...

Lech has established itself as one of the world’s greatest ski resorts and is one of the snowy playgrounds of Europe’s rich and famous. It was one of the earliest Alpine ski villages and although a cosmopolitan resort today, Lech has managed to maintain its character and traditional Alpine atmosphere whilst offering a sophisticated nightlife, fewer lift queues and a more balanced mixture of gentle and challenging runs.

Skiing and Boarding in Lech

The balance of gentle and challenging runs makes skiing in Lech both comfortable for the novice and challenging to the expert.  The ski area is extensive – the Arlberg ski pass covers a total of 83 lifts including the ski areas of Lech, St Anton, Zurs, Stuben and St Christoph. Beginners will find plenty of blues close to the resort whilst intermediates will love the contrasts of tree-lined runs down by the resort and challenging reds at the top. The advanced skier will enjoy the many black runs and miles of excellent off-piste when skiing in Lech. Equally, when boarding in Lech skiers will love the world-class board park and the variety of runs to suit all abilities.

Apres Ski in Lech

Once the ski slopes close Lech`s main street turns into one long après-ski bar, with pavement cafes running in to one another offering entertainment and music to suit all tastes. The village hosts a post-skiing tea dance and has four late night discotheques.
A unique evening involves a cable car ride, with Champagne, to the highest Casino in the Alps. Children will love the floodlit sledging run from Oberlech to town as well as the ice-skating and indoor sports centre.
