Stowe: The Resort... |
Stowe offers a fantastic blend of superb skiing, beautiful scenery and plenty of history to give the whole place a warm, charming feel. The historic 18th century town of Stowe has a variety of quaint shops and restaurants and is situated about a 15- 20 minute drive from the base of the mountain to which a shuttle runs throughout the day. The base area is growing into its own small village after continuing and substantial investment and ensures a relaxing and easy experience. Just 90 minutes from Burlington, it is a quick and easy transfer, without the same time difference as the West Coast making it a perfect choice for families.

The Skiing and Boarding |
Stowe’s ski area is absolutely perfect for beginner and intermediate skiers with countless wide, winding, tree-lined groomers but it also has some of the East Coast’s steepest terrain mixed in for good measure. The Middle Mansfield area is home to the legendary ‘Front Four’ which will test even the best skiers, while the Toll House and Upper Spruce Peak mountain areas are far more relaxed and perfect for subdued family skiing. Freestylers should head to the Mansfield Triple area which is home to the freestyle park and pipes.

The Apres Ski |
Stowe is a far more relaxing resort than its local neighbour Killington and is more about experiencing one of the many local activities such as glass making or taking a visit to the near-by cheese caves. Restaurants and bars have a warm and friendly vibe welcoming you like part of the family and with such with an excellent variety you’ll have plenty to experience during your stay!
