Tremblant: The resort...

A village with gallic charm at the foot of a mountain with something for everyone

Tremblant is the largest and most popular resort in Eastern Canada. It is a popular destination for its shorter journey time: the flight into Montreal takes only six hours. The French culture and language of Quebec add to the charm of Tremblant, which combines the welcoming atmosphere of a traditional mountain village with the ski-in/out convenience of a purpose-built resort.

The skiing and boarding in Tremblant

Skiing in Tremblant offers a good variety of terrain for all types of skiers and riders, served by a fast and modern lift system. The ‘Telecabine Express’ gondola is heated and takes skiers all the way from the village to the very top of the mountain in just nine minutes. From this point experts can ski gladed runs, bumps and powder on the North and South sides of the mountain. There are plenty of pisted runs perfect for cruising with beautiful views over the Laurentian range to please intermediates, and beginners will find the 2 acre learning area an ideal place to make their first turns with the friendly English speaking instructors of one of Canada’s best ski schools, before progressing to long but easy top-to-bottom green runs. The ‘Versant Soleil’ area, added last year, has increased Tremblant’s ski area by 20%. more about the skiing and boarding in Tremblant >>

The apres ski in Tremblant

This lovely village is a charmingplace for après ski shopping, eating and drinking.. Traditional style buildings in bright colours line its pedestrianised cobbled streets. Small boutiques and French style patisseries will tempt visitors. Popular après ski spots include La Forge, Le Shack and Le Diable, which brews its own beers on the premises. Dining choice range from informal burgers or pasta to haute cuisine and traditional Quebecois game dishes. Kids might enjoy a visit to the ‘Aquaclub La Source’ to play on the waterslides, while adults may prefer to pamper themselves at the world famous ‘Le Scandinave’ health spa. Organised resort activities include dog sledding, skating and snow mobiling, and the historic city of Montreal makes a fascinating stopover or day trip. more about the apres ski in Tremblant >>

Tremblant Resort overview

Located under two hours from the vibrant city of Montreal, Tremblant is situated in the Laurentian Mountains; Skiing in Tremblant offers over 600 acres of tree-lined trails ranging from easy greens to challenging blacks.

Located in Quebec, the French-speaking province of Canada, Tremblant opened as a ski resort in 1930 and has gained a reputation for offering quality skiing in a different atmosphere. The native language here is French although English is widely spoken. Tremblant has a distinctly Gallic air. The narrow pedestrian streets are crammed with patisserie shops and cafés and have been designed to evoke the early Quebec heritage of Tremblant, with gabled roofs, dormer windows and balconies all exuding an old world charm.

Tremblant offers skiers and boarders 600 acres to ski and ride with at least 120 acres of tree lined runs.  Thirteen lifts service 94 runs. The Duncan Express will take you to the top of the North Side in nine minutes; the eight-passenger gondola operates on the South Side.

About the most easily accessible North American ski resort from the UK captures all the warm hospitality of Canada, enriched with the culture, colour and 'joie de vivre' of Quebec's French heritage. The centre of Tremblant is traffic free and of course, there is very easy access to the mountain making skiing in Tremblant stress free.
